This technique, known as InMould Plasma, can improve the adhesion and bonding properties of the plastic parts. However, it sets restrictions on their shape, geometry and the size of the surface to be treated. The researchers have explored the limits and possibilities of applying plasma to large and complex component surfaces in the injection molding process.
