Résumé : |
The article presents an investigation of the behaviour of PAA delimed pelt in subsequent processing. Peracetic acid is one method of deliming. Enzymes which are active in acidic media are used for bating such pelts. It was established that chroming can be carried out directly after deliming and bating, chroming requires low basicity chromium compounds with materials for decreasing the initial basicity and to increase the basicity during chroming, which also becomes longer. Another way is with a short treatment by NaCl or oxalic acid solution after deliming and bating. Chroming after such treatment allows a good exhaustion of chromium and gives leather having high shrinkage temperature and Cr2O3 content. Replacing ammonia compounds by PAA in deliming and replacing a conventional pickling by a short treatment with NaCl and oxalic acid, or avoiding any treatment before chroming saves chemicals, shortens the process and decreases environmental pollution. |
