This enables critical decisions to be made via the colour patches and images presented on different media such as displays, printed substrates, projected screens, rather than the final paint samples or textile fabrics and garments. In spite of significant developments in the fields of product, process and application technologies, the fundamental science behind these failures is neither studied systematically nor understood clearly, though interim solutions have been provided based on trial and error experimentation with various generic systems.
