We have developed a process to treat chrome shavings and tanned splits. These wastes were first treated to recover as much protein as possible, and then treatment was used to transform the chromium, present in residual solid, into yellow pigment. The objective of this work was to study prepared pigment quality. Standard tests were performed to evaluate the effectiveness of this product in the paint industry. |
