Résumé : |
The bamboo fiber reinforced composite in this research was prepared with epoxy resin. The fibers with 3 different lengths viz. 10, 20 and 30mm length were used for manufacturing the composites. The composites were manufactured with 3 different proportions of fiber to resin namely 3:97, 6:94 and 9:91 corresponding to each length of fiber. The composite properties tensile, flexural, compression strength and water absorption were measured. The mechanical properties tensile, flexural and compression strength increased with the increase in fiber length. It is also observed that with an increase in the proportion of fiber the tensile, flexural and water absorption % have increased. |
