Résumé : |
Realistic testing requires the simulation and control of stress factors in accelerated laboratory weathering to obtain reproducible results and to help predict coating service life in specific applications. There is an increasing focus on developing international standards that better define weathering test parameters. The following discusses these recent developments and their impact. |
Note de contenu : |
- More specific test cycles for coating applications
- Rquirements for realistic testing
- Recalculation of the reference sun in CI241
- Redifinition of daylight filters for xenon-arc instruments in ISO 16474-2 and ASTM G155
- Harmonised chamber air temperature setting improves reproducibility
- Measuring the amount of water spray for xenon-arc weathering
- New approaches to increase acceleration
- More realistic testing
