Résumé : |
Pollution and UV radiation from the sun are two of the primary causes of damaged hair follicles and lead to a significant impact on appearance. Novel technologies, which consist of hydrolyzed rice protein, Adansonia digitata seed extract, and Amaranthus caudatus seed extract, was specifically designed to overcome pollution in hair and to increase shine and moisturization of hair fibres damaged from UV radiation. Findings show that through SEM/EDS analysis, these hydrolyzed proteins significantly shield from external pollutants of calcium and aluminum in virgin Chinese and Indian hair fibres. Hair moisturization, measured by water vaporization content, was increased by 24.15 % and visible improvement in shine was observed by 9.18 % of the UV damaged, Caucasian hair fibres after application.
