Résumé : |
In recent years, there has been growing concern about issues such as labor rights violations, environmental damage, and poor working conditions in the textile and fashion industry. A series of human rights disasters throughout history have placed a spotlight on the working conditions of garment workers globally, including the Rana Plaza Factory collapse 2013 in Bangladesh, Tarzeen Factory Fire 2012 in Bangladesh and the Ali Enterprises Factory Fire 2012 in Pakistan. These catastrophes led to mass strikes by garment workers across in 2021 in Bangladesh, Myanmar, India and Vietnam, protesting better working conditions, the right to form independent trade unions and to increase minimum wages. |
