Volcanic lava solidifies to produce basalt rock. The crushing of volcanic rock gives basalt fiber. Basalt fiber is light weight, has high strength and requires high temperature to melt. These inherent characteristics of basalt fiber make it more suitable for use in civil applications such as building bridges, highways and residential housing, and in the construction industry etc. Basalt is well known as a rock found in virtually every country round the flora and fauna. Basalt rock is more prolific in India (especially in Maharashtra), and the basalt fiber is available at a cheaper cost as compared to other raw materials such as synthetic and high-performance fibers. TexturationProcédé de frisure, conférant des boucles au hasard, ou modifiant d'une autre manière un fil de filament continu afin d'augmenter son pouvoir couvrant, sa résilience, sa résistance à l'abrasion, sa chaleur, son pouvoir d'isolation thermique, son pouvoir d'absorption d'humidité, ou pour lui donner une texture de surface différente. Les procédés de texturation peuvent être regroupés en six catégories.
Traction (mécanique)Index. décimale : 677 Textiles Résumé : Tensile behavior and crimp characteristics of textured yarn mainly depend on draw ratio and temperature of the heaters provided on draw-texturing machine. There, 2 heated rollers operate at different speed; the speed ratio of output to input roller termed as draw ratio. 3 different levels of draw ratio and temperature were set on a draw-texturing machine, filament produced and yarns were both tested. Polyester partially oriented yarn (POY) (non-intermingled) of 130/36 was processed on a Himson ATH 12 F/V draw-texturing machine to manufacture samples with 3 different draw ratios and changed primary heater temperatures.
