Résumé : |
Textile fibers are blended to get desirable combinations of properties in the end product, which is an almost random mixing of different staple fibers, is the most common practice. The growing consumer requests for textile products that give protection, comfort and environmental products. Therefore, there are many new developments in the textile production for the use of renewable and biodegradable resources. One of the newest developments in new fiber investigations is the use of bamboo fiber in different textile products that has been applied in hygienic products, geotextiles, filters, decorating items and furniture. In the present study it is observed that properties of the bamboo/polyester blended yarns and fabrics produced with 3 different blend proportions shows that blend proportion has significant influence on mechanical properties of yarns and fabrics. It is also noticed that yarn hairiness is significantly affected by blend proportion and moisture management properties. |
