Résumé : |
A variety of requirements are nowadays made of innovative binders. It almost goes without saying today that newly developed binders are environmentally compatible. This primarily means that the volatile organic solvent content should be as low as possible. In the last 25 years, the demand fora reduction in solvent levels has been one of the major driving forces behind innovation in the development of novel binders and has led to significant successes, including in the area of waterborne binders and in high sol ids.
However, there is also a need demand arising out of the necessity to meet the increasing cost pressure on the end user. This can be achieved by increasing the productivity in the application process, enabling overall costs to be reduced. Using conventional coating materials these cost-effective coating concepts can only be achieved to a limited extent, or not at all, in manyapplications. |
