A compleximetric method involving titration of zirconium with ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA) is described which is applicable to the analysis of solid reagents, solutions or tanned leathers containing either zirconium or mixed zirconium—chromium complexes. The method is rapid, reliable and more convenient to use, especially for routine analyses, than alternative gravimetric methods of analysis. It has been shown that, in mixed zirconium—chromium systems, there is no interference either in the determina¬tion of zirconium by the chromium present, or in the normal determination of chromium by the zirconium present. |
