Achieving these benefits, nonetheless, requires formulators to maximize the stability and bioavailability of retinol, while at the same time taking care to avoid possible irritation-related concerns. This is particularly true for formulations, which utilize a high-load of retinol. This study reviews the performance of a recently launched offering, InuMax Advanced Retinol Cosmetic Active, in addressing these requirements. Standard methods for stability are used alongside more novel visualization techniques, enabling in vivo investigation of bioavailability and irritation. These tests demonstrate that the new product enables effective performance in retinol stability, retinol bioavailability, and reduction of adverse irritation, providing formulators with a new, powerful option for their retinol-containing formulations.
