They regulate the pH value and make a positive contribution to the storage stability of the paint by reducing the interaction between the paint ingredients. Compliance with health and environmental requirements, such as being VOC/SVOC-free and hazard label-free, make these neutralising agents particularly attractive for ecolabel-certified paints. Revêtements en phase aqueuse -- Additifs:Peinture en phase aqueuse -- AdditifsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : There are various neutralising agents available to the paint industry. The ost common neutralising agents on the market are standard products, such as caustic soda (NaOH) and ammonia or the muttifunctional additive 2-Amino-2- Methylpropan-1-ol (AMP).
Clariant recently introduced a sugar¬based speciality amine (Glucamine) developed specifically for use as a multifunctional performance additive in eco-friendly, water-based paints. In order to create a comprehensive assessment of these neutralising agents, this article considers environmental, health and safety aspects with the comparison of performance characteristics.Note de contenu : - How sustainable are neutralising agents ?
