Polyurethane floor coatings have been in commercial use for more than 30 years. Flexible, hard and tough coating materials are formulated with polyurethane raw materials for application in many different market segments including the sports floors. This article covers the application of the polyurethane technology for sports floor coatings in various sub segments like tennis court, badminton courts, jogging tracks, kids play areas, gyms for aesthetics & Protection purpose. It also presents the application procedure, recommended number of layers, formulating a PU flooring systems & the results based on intensive lab evaluations for the comparison of the epoxy flooring with PU flooring in order to meet different performance. Real -life cases are analysed in this article as well. |
