Résumé : |
Thin film epoxy coatings have long been known to reduce the internal roughness, and hence the friction factor of natural gas flow lines. A new generation of solvent free materials provide the pipe coater with a choice of environmentally sustainable solution without increased coating thickness or loss of performance.
The environmental benefits of solvent free epoxy lining is illustrated, together with a study of the surface roughness parameters of internally coated pipe as a function of flow coating volume solids. |
Note de contenu : |
- Performance requirements : General - Formulatory considerations
- Comparison of V.O.C. emission for different flow coating technologies
- Effect of internal flow coating on surface roughness
- Impact of flow coating product's volume solids : Benefits to the applicator
- Table 1 : Roughness parameters for a range of flow coating products at an average dry film thickness of 75 microns |
