Mousse (chimie) -- AnalyseIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The toothpaste types Diamond Attraction, Fire Freeze and Deep Action from the Unilever brand range Closeup were test¬ed with the Dynamic Foam Analyzer — DFA100 and its Foam Structure Module — FSM. The tests focused on the volume of foam and the number of bubbles formed, as these two foam properties are of particular importance for dental are.
The good reproducibility of the results indicates that differences in the foaming behaviour of the sample toothpastes can be shown clearly using this method of rneasurement. According to the results, the type Deep Action with CAPB as its foaming agent (as opposed to SDS in the other two types) forms the largest volume of foam with small bubbles and has a relatively long period of stability.
Such a test result does not at first allow any comparison of the quality of the samples, because the largest foam volume is not necessarily the criterion for assessing the optimum product. It can, however, be correlated with the test results of recipes that were judged to be successful by test subjects. The measuring methods presented here can therefore be used in this way to provide objective parameters to optimise new products and significantly reduce the number of test group studies that would normally be necessary. ln addition, such
foam analyses are well suited to routine quality control during production.
We would like to thank Hindustan Unilever Limited for permitting us to publish the measuring results within the framework of this application report.Note de contenu : - COMPARATIVE ANALYSES OF THE FOAMIBILITY AND FOAM STRUCTURE OF DENTAL CARE PRODUCTS
