Résumé : |
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, 17 million tons of textile waste ended up in landfills in 2018. Textile waste increased 811 % since 1960 to 2015. This explains why innovations for plastic-free recycled and regenerated textiles have increased at rapid speed. lonic liquids represent a key enabling technology helping to create low environmental impact materials for the fashion industry support the circular economy vision. Since the early 2000s ionic liquids have been investigated and utilized as direct and efficient solvents for biopolymers and polymers like cellulose, chitin, silk, wool, aramid fibers, polyester (PET), polyamide (PA), etc. |
