Hair styling products were once perhaps the sector least impacted by the surge in natural ingredients, but this has now changed. Consumers in the past accepted that in order to have their hair style fixed in place by gels and mousses, they would need synthetic chemicals to do so. But now, there is a growing desire for styling products to lift their natural and sustainable game.
Also, the demand for multifunctional claims has reached hair styling products. As skin care types of claims have begun moving to hair care, it has been a logical progression for additional claims such as 'anti-pollution' to start being listed alongside the more traditional ones.
