Résumé : |
A standard process for the production of chrome side leather has been developed, based on studies of individual operations as well as on a critical study of the complete process selected. Details of the equipment evolved for the process, the process conditions and the chemicals employed are outlined. Preliminary results are reported for weight and area variation of hide segments at the various stages of the process. Physical tests have been carried out at selected locations on the segments of unfinished leather. The process finally chosen provides a satisfactory basis from which to study selected process variations. |
