Résumé : |
Energy supply has always been a high cost for tanneries. Thermal energy is usually supplied with fossil fuels. In previous papers, the authors have shown a real possibility in the use of renewable energies such a solar thermal energy in tanneries around the world. However, the amount of electricity needed in the tannery process is much higher and this electricity usually is taken from the grid. Lately, the price of this resource has been increasing rapidly. Up to now renewable energies for electricity production have not been considered and only a few tanneries, mainly in Europe, use cogeneration as electricity supply despite the economic benefits of this technology. In this paper, the authors will present a viability study for the use of renewable energies for electricity supply in tanneries. The renewable energies considered are solar photovoltaic energy and wind energy. |
