Résumé : |
The chemical performance of nanosized barium sulfate for anticorrosive properties in UV-curing coil coating and the photoactivity of titanium dioxide will be demonstrated. It has been established that nanosized barium sulfate can act as an active additive for the deflocculation of pigments although knowin that these products are more than inert materials it was still surprising to find a significant improvement of anticorrosive properties of UV-curing primers for coil coatings. In epoxy acrylate and urethane acrylate systems the adhesion and corrosion protection qere increased substantially. Photoactive paints are on their way to the market withselfcleaning and deodorizing properties evolving from nanosized titanium dioxide. The discoloration of methylene blue and the photoxidation of isopropanole are introduced as evaluation methods for photoactivity. Results from outdoor exposures of paints point to their activity and the recommended concentration of the photocatalyst. |
