Résumé : |
Due to its stability and non toxicity, titanium dioxide is extensively studied as an efficient photocatalyst in air purification treatments. Recently our research group has been very active in the development of composite synthetic procedures for the obtainment of nanocrystalline tailored TiO2 with controlled phase composition (anatase/brookite/rutile), morphology (surface area, porosity, etc.) and surface state. In the present work we report on the photocatalytic activity of these samples in the NOx degradation and then compare it with that of commercial samples with the aim to highlight general criteria in the choice of the best materials for photocatalytic air purification processes. Selected samples were also employed in the gas phase degradation of toluene. |
