Résumé : |
This paper considers the physics and chemical engin-eering aspects of the drying process and how the drying characteristics of leather may be analysed.
To understand the drying process it is particularly valuable to look at the rate at which materials dry at various stages of the process. Drying rates give useful dues to the mechanism by which moisture moues and hence to the factors which will affect the quality characteristics of the product. A knowledge of the mechanisms of moisture transport also helps to establish the significance of the process variables, such as drying medium temperature and product thickness. |
