Résumé : |
Delicate components such as shock absorber shims present a challenge for the deburring process. By opting for a special disc finishing machine, shock absorber manufacturer Kyb was able to significantly reduce processing times, cut energy consumption and, at the same time, improve the deburring results. |
Note de contenu : |
- Shorter processing time and increased productivity
- Material savings of 1000 kilograms per month
- Improving the efficiency of the assembly process
- Fig. 1 : The components are placed in an open container where they are exposed to rorating finishing and polishing media. The disc on the base of the container turns and this causes the media to rotate
- Fig. 2 : Using the disc, finishing machine, delicate workpieces can be finished, deburred and polished reliably
- Fig. 3 : One example of stamped parts is the shims used in shock absorbers. Before they can be assembled, they must be carefully deburred and chamfered |
