Résumé : |
Nonwovens require a specific strength to withstand forces used in bonding techniques such as mechanical, thermal and chemical, used to provide strength. Hydroentangling describes a technique using a series of high-velocity water jets to mechanically interlock and entangle fibers. Water jets are capable of creating a unique structure of the nonwovens with physical, mechanical and functional properties. This paper reviews the impact of hydroentangling parameters on the properties of nonwovens. The effect of jet diameter, jet spacing, manifold pressure and the number of manifolds on the structure and properties of nonwovens is reviewed from literature. |
