Polysulfures de phénylèneIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Thermoplastic high-performance polymers (HPP) combine excellent technical properties with low weight, which is why these materials are used in particular in the automotive and aerospace industries where discontinuous service termperatures are usually between 150°C and 260°C. In addition, HPP remain usable in contact with chemicals under high mechanical stress and under various external influences such as high and very low temperatures, as well as other environmental influences. They are also well suited for the production of filament yarns, with typical materials being PEEK, PPS and PEI. Note de contenu : - Reducing cost

Textiles et tissus à usages techniquesIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Smart dike systems allow better prediction of natural disasters in flooding areas through condition and stress monitoring. Early warning systems for floods and storm surges are based exclusively on water level forecasts. Other loads such as wind, waves, currents or heavy rainfalls, as well as the resistance of flood protection structure itself (e.g. dikes, flood protection walls) are not considered. Nevertheless, the flood protection structures may fail before the design load is reached due to cascading effects (e.g. simultaneous occurrence of various loads) and the early failure of the flood protection structure itself (e.g. due to local inhomogeneity or damage). Such events cannot be identified by existing early warning systems in coastral and riverine areas. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to develop a sensor and risk-based early warning system, which will be set-up exemplarily for sea dikes and includes all relevant processes including cascading effects, allows in time warnings and provides reliable and robust real-time data for decision-makers within a geoportal for disaster prevention and disaster management.
