Résumé : |
Using a new calculation process, it is possible to predict fiber orientation-dependent compnent behavior in relation to shaped elements at an early stage and thus dsign the component in accordance with the expected load. This reduces costly iteration cycles and thereby shortens the entire development and manufacturing process. What is more, the concept can also be applied to areas where Integrative Simulation was previously too expensive or time-consumming. |
Note de contenu : |
- New injection molding tool for fiber orientation studies
- Large spectrum of fiber orientations
- Fig. 1 : Main components of the fiber orientation tensor (second order) over the normalized sample thickness - above : Dome small, rib in the direction of flow and rib perpendicular to the flow direction
- Fig. 2 : Validation simulations show the potential of the newly developed method and its potential applications. Optimized anisotropic approaches and simplified phenomenological models enable much more precise prediction of actual component behavior. |
