Revêtements:PeintureIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A new measurement and control system allows for full quality control of powder coating thicknesses before curing. In the most advanced version of the system, the booth control unit adjusts the quantity of powder automatically on the basis of the measurements until the coating reaches the required thickness. This avoids the need for safety margins commonly applied to the powder quantity settings in practice and, therfore, reduces powder consumption. Note de contenu : - Coating settings with safety margins
- A practical measurement system is needed
- Real time measurement
- Advanced thermal optics and digital signal processing
- Measurements on curved surfaces and edges
- Different versions availablePermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=24902

Rayonnement infrarouge
Revêtements:PeintureIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Using an infrared process, coating thicknesses can be measured and monitored non-destructively in real time. This makes it possible to reduce the amount of coating being used and to avoid rejects and reworking. The measurements can be made manually, automatically or with an imaging system. Note de contenu : - Fig. 1 : Thermal coating measurement involves heating a large area of a coating with a brief puise of light lasting only a millisecond. The resulting temperature difference produces a wave of heat that moves through the structure of the coating
- Fig. 2 : The inline version can be integrated into a linear actuator in the coating shop, which allows it to travel automatically to predefined positions on a workpiece
- Fig. 3 : Using the imaging coating thickness measurement process, turning points of coating guns can be identified, together with areas where the coating is too thin or too thick. The process is ideal for large areas and parts with complex shapes, such as the car wheel in this example
- Fig. 4 : The hand-held measuring instruiment meets the high standards of robustness and repeat accuracy required in an industrial environment and is guaranteed to provide very precise measurements of coating thickness while the coating process is in operationPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=33773

Mesures dimensionnelles sans contactIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Monitoring coating parameters is an essential part of an integrated quality management process. The coating thickness is a key factor since it influences both physical and chemical properties. The requirements for coating thickness measurement are versatile and depend on different criteria. Choosing the right measurement method can be quite difficult. Note de contenu : - Coating thickness as a key coating property
- Mobile coating thickness measurement instead of complex procedure
- Table 1 : Summary of the selection criteria according to EN ISO 2808 and according to the measurement task
