Résumé : |
With huge range of textile structures such as short fiber, filament woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, braids, nonwovens, etc., they offer an enormous potential for development of varieties of composites, since these textile reinforcements have their own characteristic features which are translated into the composite. This is a driving force for growing interest from both the academic community and from industry in this area. In this study, 9 different needlepunched nonwovens reinforced composite samples were produced in varying reinforced material and resin with 3 levels each. Reinforcement was varied in terms of weigth per unit area of reinforced nonwovens with 3 levels viz. 300, 400 and 500 g/m², and resin was varied in terms of its type with 3 levels, viz.polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy. Composite samples were tested for mechanical properties. |
