Travail de rivière (cuir)Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The beamhouse operations include soaking, liming, deliming, bating, pickling and tanning. These operations remove hair and flesh, degrease the fat, open the structure, modify the collagen, and lower the pH in preparation for conventional tannage. A critical part of the beamhouse operation is the removal of the alkali added during theliming/unhairing operation. After the liming/unhairing the pelt is full of large quantities of calcium, sodium and hydroxyl ions (either as hydroxides of the metals or as separate species). The deliming chemical must be able to bind to the divalent metals or to neutralise the hydroxyl as an acid. Note de contenu : - Ammonium salt deliming

- Fig. 1 : The carbonate equilibrium that exists in solutions shows equilibrium between H2CO3 and HCO3- and CO3 2-. At pH values below five the principle series is CO2 (aq). Between pH 5-8 the HCO2-ion dominates. At pH values above 12 the COO 2- dominates

Son objectif est de produire des biens et services tout en limitant fortement la consommation et le gaspillage des matières premières, et des sources d'énergies non renouvelables ;

TannageIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The move towards sustainable leather processing is causing the leather industry to address environmental issues and transition towards greener production processes. European directives in favour of the circular economy have increased the demand for environmentally friendly alternatives during leather processing.
By upcycling a meat and dairy industry waste, the leather industry is crafted by circularity. The circular economy model involves a cyclical flow of materials and energy within and between industries. For example, leather industry wastes (Figure 1) can be subject to physical, chemical and biological treatment and transferred into valuable resources to allow sustainable leather production.Note de contenu : - Wastewater and sludge treatment
