Résumé : |
Recently, the use of renewable sources in the preparation of various industrial materials has been revitalized because of the environmental concerns. Natural oils are considered to be the most important class of renewable sources. They can be obtained from naturally occurring plants, such as sunflower, neem, cotton, linseed. They consist predominantly of triglycerides. To demonstrate the applicability of neem oil in modern paint formulations, we prepareD a long nee oil alkyd resin, which is the work horse of the paint industry, followed by treatment of the polymer with Toluene di-isocyanate to form a poly urethane polymer. |
