Résumé :	The use of reinforcement made of PE or PP leads to an improved performance of technical textiles, e.g. regarding tensile strength. At the same time, the basis weights of other composite materials can usually be reduced, thereby reducing product costs. The production of the smallest structures from micro to nanofibers enables highly efficient use in areas such as acoustics and filtration. Special emphasis was placed on the development of an environmentally friendly, solvent-free and cost-efficient manufacturing process for the production of nanofibers from polypropylene and other thermoplastics.
