PolyestersIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : The processing of textiles to achieve a particular handle is one of the most important aspects of finishing technology. Softeners improve soft handle, smoothness, elasticity, hydrophilic, antistatic and soil release properties on textiles. Macro and micro sized silicone softeners are commonly used for these purposes but nano silicone is a new class of softener. In this research, polyester fabrics were first scoured with nonionic detergent and then treated with three concentrations of nano and micro silicone softeners in water including 10, 20 and 30 g/L at 30°C for 60 seconds by padding method. The treated fabrics were then dried/cured at 130°C for 40 seconds. The pH was maintained at 5 using acetic acid. Some of the physical and chemical properties of the treated fabric samples were discussed. The drapeability of nano emulsion treated samples was decreased compared with micro emulsion treated ones. Colorimetric properties of softener treated fabrics were evaluated with reflectance spectrophotometer. Scanning electron microscope photographs showed nano silicone particles aggregated on fiber surface. Moisture regain of nano emulsion treated samples was decreased compared with micro emulsion treated due to coating of nano silicone particles.

The influence of CNTs on the performance of the cellulose fiber was investigated using a Raman spectrophotometer, thermogravimetric analyzer, a scanning electron microscope, electrical contacting equipment, and an electromagnetic field detector. The possible interactions between CNTs, a crosslinking agent, and cellulose functional groups at the surface were elucidated by Raman spectroscopy. The results indicate that the stabilized CNTs modify the surface of the fibers and increase the functionality and thermal stability of the substrate. SEM showed a uniform coating of CNTs on the fiber surface. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : This study confirms the structural changes of nylon 6 fibres using protease by measuring the dyeability, hydrophilicity, chemical changes and fastness properties. For this purpose, nylon 6 fabrics were first treated with different concentrations of protease enzyme in aqueous solutions. The dyeing process was then carried out on the treated fabrics with disperse and acid dyes. Acid and disperse dyes showed higher exhaustion on the enzyme-treated samples. The results of colour measurement in the CIELAB system showed that the darkness of the samples increased with an increase in the enzyme percentage in the solution. The results of moisture regain showed that treatment of nylon fabrics with a proteolytic enzyme caused an increase in moisture absorbency. The wash and light fastness properties of samples were measured according to ISO 105-C05 and daylight ISO 105-B01 and are discussed. The dyed fabrics were then treated with anionic, cationic, nonionic, micro and macro emulsion silicone softeners. CIELAB color coordinates (L*, a*, b*, C* and h) were measured with reflectance spectrophotometer. The lightness (L* value) for samples dyed with disazo and polyazo direct dyes (orange and red dyes) showed an increase after treatment with all the mentioned softeners, while it was decreased for thiazole and trisazo dyed fabrics treated with anionic, cationic, micro and macro emulsion silicone softeners. The wash and light fastness properties of samples were measured according to ISO 105-CO5 and Daylight ISO 105-BO1. The washing fastness properties of some direct dyed samples were decreased after treatment with softeners. In the case of light fastness properties, it was decreased for most of the samples. UltrasonsIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : In recent years, the textile industry must go towards developing of new technologies to reduce the energy and water consumption. The use of ultrasound in textile wet processing is one way for this purpose. The aim of this work was to investigate the effects of ultrasonic energy on processing of cotton with nonionic softener. For this purpose, cotton fabric was treated with a nonionic fatty acid amide derivative softener in an ultrasonic bath. The physical properties of the fabrics treated with softener were compared with that treated in a conventional bath. As the results show, the treatment of fabrics with softeners in an ultrasound bath is more effective compared to a conventional method and it enhances the physical properties of cotton.
