HoméostasieL'homéostasie (du grec "hómoios", "similaire", et "stásis", "stabilité, action de se tenir debout") est la capacité que peut avoir un système quelconque (ouvert ou fermé) à conserver son équilibre de fonctionnement en dépit des contraintes qui lui sont extérieures.
L'homéostasie est la maintenance de l'ensemble des paramètres physico-chimiques de l'organisme qui doivent rester relativement constants (glycémie, température, taux de sel dans le sang, etc.).

PolyAquol-2W leads a new generation of polyglycerol-based emulsifying technology. Its natural, efficacy, structural and skin compatibility features make it an ideal self-emulsifier for a myriad of applications including skin care for all ages, pro-moisturising skin care for all ages, pro-moisturising concepts and sensitive skin regimen. PolyAquol-2W can also be formulated with different UV filters and blockers making it highly suitable for O/W sun care product development.
This sun care application is further supported by our clinical results showing prevention and repair of the skin barrier function integrity, upon UV-induced damage. Indeed, a unique trait of PolyAquol-2W resides in its ability to improve skin barrier function homeostasis. This most likely relies on a skin biomimicry concept put forward by its molecular composition and the formation of tridimensional liquid crystal structures. Interestingly, when added in a completely anhydrous system, PolyAquol-2W generates birefringent-thus highly organised- lamellar structures(Fig 7) evocative of the bi-layer organisation of the skin barrier lipid matrix.
The robustness and clinical efficacy of PolyAquol-2W ally with the possibility to create formulations endowed with unique properties and benefits. The availability of PolyAquol-2W to all chemists ans cosmetologists is likely to open new frontiers in designing multi-functional and efficacious formulations. |
