The numbers which were given here clearly justify that demand for lightweight fabrics is increasing and it is expected that it will continue to increase. For this reason, demand for microfiber and hollow fiber will continue to rise in the near future. Because of this demand for lightweight fabrics and fibers, micro and hollow fibers would be a commodity product rather than a specialty product as it is today. Moreover, according to the chain of evaluation of dpf on fiber, the current level is at 0.9 den. The next link in the chain will be 0.3 dtex, which is already being discussed in this decade and called ultra-micro for now. It is obvious that during the next decade, most probably 0.3 dtex will just be called micro because evaluation continues. |
