Cell phones and electronic devices emit electromagnetic radiation (EMR), generating what is called electrosmog: a sea of invisible electronic pollution.
Considering that 60% of people spend more than 6 hours a day in front of a digital device and that the skin as a physiological barrier is the first objective of this environmental stress factor, we are facing what is referred to as digital ageing.
Skin exposure to EMR radiation suffers several biological parameter alterations such as: a massive increase of Reactive Oxygen species (ROS) provoking DNA damage, a massive increase of ATP as a sign of cell damage provoking apoptosis and skin's structure disruption among others.
Additionally, recent studies have shown that the blue light emitted by the screens of our computers or smart phones also generates oxidative stress leading to premature ageing.
Marine glycogen solution is a concentrated solution of high purity marine glycogen: Key role in the epidermal repair and skin-specific anti-stress agent.
Marine glycogen solution probed to protect and prevent skin damage after 6 hours' exposure to mobile phone radiation: Neutralizing Oxidative stress, reducing apoptotic cells and protecting against structural changes induced by EMR; it also reduced oxidative stress in keratinocytes after 20' of Blue light exposition. |
