Résumé : |
What influence do conveyor systems have on the energy consumption of a paint or powder coating shop ? This article answers the question using the example of two paint shops, one with an overhead conveyor and one with a power+free conveyor, and comes up with some interesting results. |
Note de contenu : |
- Too much emphasis on the oven
- The conveyor system is the largest energy consumer
- Mobile heaters
- The correct choice of conveyor chain
- Reducing air lock losses
- Effective planning brings savings
- FIGURES : 1. A well-thought-out and carefully planned system in a paint or powder coating shop can reduce the environmental impact of the process and cut-energy costs - 2. The energyconsumption of a curing oven with a power+free conveyor. Q (requirement) = 183 kW - 3. The energy consumption of a curing oven with an overhead conveyor Q (requirements) = 245 kW
- TABLES : 1. A lightweight chain made it possible to reduce the overall heat requirement from 183 kW (see figure 2) to 156 kW - 2. A lightweight chain made it possible to reduce the overall heat requirement from 245 kW (see figure 2) to 212 kW |
