Revêtements en phase aqueuse -- Additifs:Peinture en phase aqueuse -- AdditifsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : There is an increase in demand of eco-friendly biocides in the world due to increase in awareness about eco¬friendly products. Eco-friendly products are consisting of ingredients which are not harmfui to environment, like animais, soif, microbiological ecosystem, plants, aquatic animais & plants etc. Same is applied to paints. Paint contains mainly two components which are harmfu 1 to environment, biocides & Volatile Organic Compounds. VOC can be replaced by higher boiling point solvents. But in case of biocides it is seen that eco-friendly biocides are not as effective as harmful biocides at same concentration. Some of them are very sensitive to pH & temperature fluctuations (as low as 40° C & pH 8), which renders paint unprotected alter a particular time period. Also a tolerance & resistance is observed in microbes for few green biocides. At least 15 to 20 years time period is required to invent, to study & to register new molecule for different uses. So there is need of finding ways, alternatives & implementing stringent hygiene guidelines & awareness in view of introducing Eco-friendly biocides. Hygiène du travailIndex. décimale : 613.62 Hygiène industrielle Résumé : For regular hygiene of plant, there should be hygiene manual for each processing unit or company for particular type of product. The hygiene manual should include checking, critical control, pro-active and post-active measures of all the areas from where microbial contamination may occur. By following best hygiene practices, chances for microbial contamination of the final product will be minimized at a greater extent.
