Epoxy (EP) systems have been the dominant force in the industrial flooring market for almost half a century ; but a new product developed jointly by Huntsman Polyurethanes and Alberdingk Boley is set to offer end-users an alternative that offers extra flexibility and also meets the industry's growing demand for more environmentally friendly products. Polyurethane (PU) flooring systems first entered the market around 35 years ago; however their impact on the market was initially limited because of the greater cost. Recent changes to the market have however brought PU costs down and created a more level playing field in terms of price. This has facilitated the development of PU solutions as a viable alternative. |
