Toucher softIndex. décimale : 667.6 Peintures Résumé : A high molecular weight natural polyester-type biopolymer, based on renewable resources and produced in a fermentation process, can be used in various types of coatings for gloss reduction. Matting results in aqueous, solvent-borne and 100% solids radiation-curing coating, wood and low-bake industrial coating formulations are highlighted in comparison to silica- and wax-based matting additives.
The new matting technology provides effective gloss reduction in many systems, without significantly increasing the viscosity, and without adversely impacting levelling, transparency and air release characteristics. Spin-off benefits include the improvement of the scratch- and abrasion-resistance and soft-touch properties of the coating film, together with a pronounced anti-slip effect.
