Résumé : |
Triethyl citrate from Jungbunzlauer, the well-known brand Citrofol AI, has a long history of applications in the personal care industry. Jungbunzlauer manufactures this product from nature derived agro resources.
Naturel ethanol and citric acid are converted during gentle esterification and purification processes into triethyl citrate. No further chemical treatments are needed to be marked as an absolute clear, colourless and odourless liquid. Triethyl citrate is listed in the INCI for various functions, e.g. deodorant, solvent or perfuming. For the development of eco-friendly fragrances and perfumes in this segment, Jungbunzlauer's Citrofol Al represents a Ecocert Greenlife- and Cosmos-approved cosmetic raw material which meets the standards for organic and natural cosmetics.
Triethyl citrate is not only recognised as a natural solvent and diluent. Recent studies also demonstrate that triethyl citrate has a beneficial fixative effect which will be discussed in this article and compared to well-known perfumery fixatives. |
