PolychloroprèneIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : The unique property profile of polychloroprenes (CR) makes these products indispensable in the field of solventborne contact adhesives for a large number of applications. The performance of the bonds can be significantly improved by crosslinking with isocyanates.
Because of mounting ecological requirements and more stringent regulations on occupational health, there is an increasing trend towards the development of solvent-free adhesives based on aqueous alkaline CR dispersions. Here, however, the scope of application is limited as it has not so far been possible to adequately satisfy demands for products for bonding non-absorbent substrates or for high heat resistance.
This article describes new CR dispersions with a modified polymer structure that satisfy the increasingly strict ecological requirements on these modern adhesives in line with the "Responsible care" concept. Used in combination with a new dispersible crosslinking isocyanate that is also suitable for strongly alkaline CR adhesive dispersions and produced by a suitable compounding process, these dispersions open up new areas of application that will be illustrated in examples.Note de contenu : - Polymerization
