Résumé : |
"The right material in the right place" is the concept of modern lightweight constructions involving an increasing material-mix. However, the different coefficients of thermal expansion of the manifold materials pose a challenge to the joining technology. Hot curing adhesives applied in the automotive industry can cause undesirable deformation or even destroy the bonded structure. This article investigates the influence of the production process on the deformation behaviour of a planked frame joined by bonding in combination with blind riveting. A further article in the next edition will discuss the computation of these production process-related deformations by means of the finite element method. |
