VulcanisationIndex. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) based on high impact polystyrene (HIPS)/styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS)/styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) blends were prepared by dynamic vulcanization, with the TPVs being reinforced by carbon black (CB). Experimental results indicated that mechanical properties of dynamically vulcanized HIPS/SBS/SBR blends were enhanced remarkably by the incorporation of CB. The fracture surface morphology of the reinforced HIPS/SBS/SBR/CB TPVs was relatively flat. The Mullins effect could be observed in the stress-strain curves of HIPS/SBS/SBR TPVs and HIPS/SBS/SBR/CB TPVs during the uniaxial loading-unloading cycles. Compared with HIPS/SBS/SBR TPVs, CB-reinforced HIPS/SBS/SBR TPVs had the relatively higher stress, residual strain and internal friction loss. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL : 1. Materials - 2. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : An experimental investigation was performed to characterize the flow field produced by a dual-lip air ring used in the blown-film manufacturing process for a solid model with a blow-up ratio of 3.5 similar to the shape of a typical LLDPE bubble. Distributions of the static and fluctuating pressure on the model and the flow field above the forming cone were measured
for a range of settings on the dual-lip air ring. It was found that the distribution of the pressure on the bubble below the forming cone had many features similar to the measurements for a bubble with a blow-up ratio of 2.5 [1]. In the region above the forming cone, the upper jet appeared to merge with the lower jet rather than entraining the lower jet as was observed for a bubble with a blow-up ratio of 2.5 [1]. This resulted in a smaller local maximum in the normalized fluctuating pressure in the region above the forming cone and would likely result in less heat transfer in this region. It was also found that the initial angle of the upper jet exiting the air ring changed when the height of the bubble cone was adjusted for the bubble with the blow-up ratio of 3.5. This affected the static pressure in the region below the location where the upper jet attaches to the bubble and the pressure fluctuations in the region where the upper jet attaches to the surface. Finally, unlike the bubble with the blow-up-ratio of 2.5 [1], the presence of the bubble cone caused a region of negative gauge pressure in the region above the forming cone that should act to stabilize the bubble against the bubble cone. The pressure in this region and the region below the forming cone both decreased when the porosity of the bubble cone was reduced.DOI : 10.3139/217.2012 En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MH73XSkNRHCOgkMhUR9eOWMqJS9HiTq4/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=2969

Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : Measurements were performed to characterize the development of the cooling jets produced by a typical dual-lip air ring used in the blown film manufacturing process. The distribution of the pressure on the bubble surface and the velocity field in the region above the forming cone were measured for a rigid model bubble with a blow-up ratio of 2.5. The measurements indicated that the development of the flow below the top of the forming cone in the air ring could be divided into two regions separated by local maxima in the static and fluctuating pressure. These maxima seemed to be associated with the location where the lower jet attached to the bubble surface. There was a region of negative gauge pressure on the bubble surface below the forming cone that should act to stabilize the bubble against the forming cone in practical applications. Above the forming cone, the lower jet was initially decelerated and then entrained into the upper jet. The upper jet then attached to the bubble surface and finally the flow recovered to a wall jet along the bubble surface. The profiles of the static and fluctuating pressure in the first and third regions above the forming cone collapsed reasonably well when they were scaled using the velocity of the lower jet and the velocity of the upper jet, respectively. The magnitude of the local maxima in the static and fluctuating pressure where the upper jet attached to the bubble depended on the upper jet velocity and the ratio of the upper and lower jet velocities.

UréeIndex. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : Melamine-urea-formaldehyde (MUF) foam was prepared using melamine modified urea formaldehyde resin. The effects of blowing agent, curing agent and surfactant on the properties of MUF foam such as apparent densities, compression strength, microstructure, fragility, limited oxygen index, thermal conductivity and formaldehyde emission were investigated. The best performance of MUF was obtained as the composition of blowing agent, curing agent and surfactant were 2.5 %, 18 % and 12 % respectively. The water resistance of MUF foam, contents of foam’s burning gas, curing mechanism and physical properties were also studied by Contact angle analyzer, TGA-FT-IR, FT-IR and 13C NMR. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : In the use of corn raw materials to produce glycol (corn-EG) and 1,2-propanediol (PDO), the output of PDO is more than that of corn-EG and the latter also contains some PDO. In order to produce high-performance polyester fibers by low-cost corn-EG instead of petroleum-EG, the paper initially seeks for the highest percentage of PDO that can be added in the conventional copolymerization of corn-EG/PDO/nano-SiO2 and terephthalic acid (PTA). The experiment shows that as the content of PDO in copolyester exceeds 12%, the POY breaking strength quickly decreases. The DTY of copolyester fiber with 12% PDO and 0.1% nano-SiO2 can be dyed in the condition of atmospheric pressure and boiling water.
