Résumé : |
We prepared stable Pickering emulsions of both types (water-in-oil and oil-in-water) with the use at maximum 1.5 wt% of these new multifunctional particles. The obtained results conflrmed that the emulsion type is strongly influenced by the solid particles' wettability which is controlled by the hydrophilic/hydrophobic precursor's ratio. Also, it was shown that the prepared emulsions present a long-term stability for different ranges of oils, either mineral or vegetal, with specific sensory properties due to the 'solid' interface.
On the practical aspect, the controversial precursors, such as aluminium salts and PEG derivatives, are currently replaced to further meet cosmetics consumers' expectations.
Moreover, other innovative applications will also emerge. As an example, the antimicrobial activity of aminopropyl-silicates has recently been investigated. |
