Résumé : |
Despite the many variables influencing the performance of coated wooden panels exposed to natural weathering it is possible to define a test capable of discriminating between coating system types in a way which is relevant to the final end use. However to do so requires clear understanding of the test precision in relating to the performance required. In addition great care must be taken in the specification of the wood substrate. Any European performance specification must address the influence of weather as a variable within a climatic zone and to do so requires the inclusion of a well characterised control within the test series. Even so agreement on interpretation is required and this can only be achieved by close co-operation between national organisations. |
