Résumé : |
Because environmental protection and sustainability have become more important to society, the use of resource-saving technologies is the key to economic success. One result of this trend is that materials with great potential for lightweight, e.g. carbon fibers, increasingly come into operation. This article gives an insight into the carbon fiber research at the Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen University (ITA). The process of stabilization of polyacrylonitrile fibers by contact heat transfer will be introduced as part of the iCarbon project. |
