The common isothiozolinone mixture of MIT and BIT provides very effective long-term action, but it can be slow to become effective. Bis(3-aminopropyl) dodecylamine (BDA) is shown to operate synergistically with MIT/BIT and offres an effective way to overcome this weakness. Note de contenu : - Coatings biocides : current situation

"Increased stress due to COVID-19 will draw more consumers to sensitive skin care products, which they believe are safer for skin".
The COVID-19 pandemic, and now its variants, has focused the world’s attention on disinfectants and wash products. Prevention of contamination on the skin has never been more important to manufacturers and consumers. With an increase in hygiene measures, the skin may suffer. Dryness, redness, or irritation and more call for nourishing and caring routines to manage both possible contaminations and a healthy skin flora. It is therefore expected that 'sensitive skin' claims will gain high attention across regions.
The increased consumption of disinfectants and cleansing formulas certainly has a negative influence on the skin flora. But how about ingredients that are designed to inhibit the growth of microorganisms to protect valuable products like cosmetics from deterioration and consumers from unwanted infections by pathogens ? It could be assumed that these ingredients can have an influence on the microorganisms not only in the cosmetic product, but also on the skin microorganisms.Note de contenu : - Microbiome

Protection contre la peroxydationIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : This article concentrates on Ashland’s raspberry multifunctional ingredient, which enables formulators to implement a sound preservation strategy and to substantiate secondary claims based on consistent in-depth analysis.
Perhaps one of the most impactful recent changes in the personal care industry is the need for a sound strategy for the use of preservatives that considers regulations, consumer demand and cost-effectiveness for a more sustainable and eco-aware market.
Ever more effective preservatives must give way, creating a strong need for powerful alternatives. A challenge that holds opportunities. Contemporary strategies lean towards multifunctionals that are more costly but promise much more than preservatives. Molecules with multiple functions help formulators to achieve additional claims enabling lesser ingredients and pamper overall value for money.
This article concentrates on an innovative technology that enables formulators to implement a sound preservation strategy and to substantiate secondary claims based on consistent in-depth analysis.Note de contenu : - MULTIFUNCTIONALS : THE NEW NORMAL
