The BMW plant in Regensburg in Germany has recently begun operating a flexible, robotic paint line which is used both for volume production and for painting prototypes or small areas of vehicles. The challenge faced by the machinery manufacturer was to fit the entire paint and drying line, together with the paint and air supply systems, into exactly the same space as the old one. |
